Vijay Deverakonda, who’s already making waves for his intense performance in the upcoming pan-India action thriller Kingdom, is once again winning hearts — this time for his encouragement of new talent.
During the pre-release event held in Tirupati, where Vijay delivered a powerful and emotional speech in the Chittoor dialect, fans were moved by his humility and local connection. But it’s his latest gesture on social media that’s drawing even more praise.
On Sunday evening, Vijay took to X (formerly Twitter) to appreciate a rising actor from Kingdom — Venkitesh VP, who plays the pivotal role of Murugan in the film.
“World – I wanted to introduce you all to @venkitesh_vp AKA “MURUGAN.” It’s just his 4th film, but when I shared my scenes with him, he made me feel like I was in his world. Deadly actor, ferocious eyes and energy, sweet soul. He will make a strong mark,” Vijay wrote.
This heartfelt endorsement from a star of Vijay’s stature is rare and speaks volumes about his support for upcoming talent. Venkitesh is now in the spotlight, with audiences eager to witness his performance.
Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri of Jersey fame, is all set to release in multiple languages on July 31, 2025. It stars Bhagyashree Borse as the female lead, and features a strong supporting cast including Satyadev, Ayyappa Sharma, and others.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, Kingdom is shaping up to be a high-octane emotional rollercoaster set against the backdrop of the Sri Lankan civil war.
As the countdown begins, Vijay’s praise has set the stage for Venkitesh’s breakout moment. Only a few days left until audiences can judge for themselves.
