The buzz around Vijay Deverakonda upcoming film Kingdom continues to grow. Originally set to release on May 30, the action-packed drama directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri has now been pushed to July 4. Fans will have to wait a little longer to see Vijay back in action on the big screen.
But that’s not all—Vijay has more exciting projects lined up! One of them is a period film with Rahul Sankrityan, and another is the much-talked-about Rowdy Janardhan, a rural entertainer directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, known for Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru.
In a major update, veteran Telugu actor Rajasekhar has been cast in a key role in Rowdy Janardhan. He is said to have loved his character and has officially joined the project. The senior actor will be seen in a strong, impactful avatar throughout the movie. Rajasekhar was last seen in Extra Ordinary Man starring Nithiin.
Produced by Dil Raju, Rowdy Janardhan is in pre-production, with filming expected to begin later this year. Rashmika Mandanna is rumored to be the front-runner for the female lead.
