Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom Set for Sri Lanka Release on August 8
After receiving a decent response from audiences and critics in Telugu states, Vijay Deverakonda’s recent action drama Kingdom is now gearing up to expand its reach internationally. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, known for the acclaimed film Jersey, Kingdom is all set to hit theatres in Sri Lanka.
The Tamil version of the film will be released on August 8, 2025, across nearly 20 theatres in Sri Lanka. It will be interesting to see how the film is received by Tamil-speaking audiences outside India.
The film also features Satya Dev and Bhagyashri Borse in important roles and marks the Tollywood debut of Mollywood actor Venkitesh, adding further curiosity among regional cinema lovers.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, this multilingual project has been backed by strong production values, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music, which played a key role in building hype pre-release.
As Kingdom continues its journey beyond the Telugu states, all eyes are now on how the film performs in the overseas Tamil market.
