Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom to Stream on Netflix by Month-End
After nearly two years in production, Kingdom—starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri—hit theatres today. The emotional action drama also features Bhagyashri Borse in the female lead role and was simultaneously released in Hindi under the title Saamrajya.
In a major update, Netflix has officially acquired the digital streaming rights to Kingdom. According to current industry reports, the film is expected to premiere on the platform within four weeks of its theatrical release, which is notably shorter than the standard eight-week window followed by most major theatrical releases.
This shorter OTT window is possible because Kingdom’s Hindi version did not release in major multiplex chains like PVR and Inox, which are typically bound by longer exclusive theatrical agreements. As a result, the makers are aiming for a late August release on Netflix, offering fans quicker access to the film from the comfort of their homes.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas banners, the film features music by Anirudh Ravichander, adding emotional and energetic layers to its action-packed narrative.
