Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, who shot to recognition with Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru, Rowdy Janardhana is being presented as a rural action entertainer with a strong mass appeal. The project has been generating interest because of its rustic setting and Vijay Deverakonda’s character, which is expected to be quite different from some of his recent roles.
The film was initially expected to hit theatres this year. However, the release plans have reportedly been revised. According to the latest industry buzz, the makers are now considering a Summer 2027 release for the movie.
Vijay is currently focused on completing Ranabaali. Once his commitments for the Dussehra release are wrapped up, the actor is expected to move on to Rowdy Janardhana. The production team is likely to plan the remaining schedules accordingly.
The movie is being produced by veteran producer Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. The combination of Dil Raju, Vijay Deverakonda and Ravi Kiran Kola has already created considerable curiosity among Telugu cinema fans.
Adding to the film’s appeal, Keerthy Suresh has been cast as the female lead. Christo Xavier is composing the music for the project, which is expected to complement its rural and action-oriented setting.
The story is reportedly set against the backdrop of the Godavari region, giving the film an authentic rustic flavour. With its rural setting, mass elements and prominent lead pair, Rowdy Janardhana could offer Vijay another interesting opportunity to explore a different cinematic space.
