Vijayawada Observes Clean Air for Blue Skies Day:
Vijayawada Commemorates the Fourth International Clean Air for Blue Skies Day with a Procession Bezawada observed the Fourth International Clean Air for Blue Skies Day on Thursday with a procession that extended from Benz Circle to Raghavaiah Park in the city.
The event featured prominent figures such as Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu, Bezawada West legislator Vellampalli Srinivas, city mayor Rayana Bhagaylakshmi, VMC commissioner Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar, and YSRC Bezawada East constituency in-charge Devineni Avinash.
Initiating the procession at Benz Circle, the MLAs encouraged the public to adopt eco-friendly modes of transportation. This not only helps reduce carbon emissions and air pollution but also promotes better health due to increased physical activity.

Vishnu emphasized that 143 countries are participating in this day to raise awareness about critical environmental issues, such as global warming, air pollution from deforestation, and plastic usage. These issues contribute to climate change, natural disasters, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and industrial pollution, all of which have significant impacts on humanity. MLA Vishnu urged individuals to recognize their responsibility and adhere to pollution control measures.
