Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu: Vinitha’s Sudden Rise and Unexpected Fall
The 1996 Telugu film Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, starring Victory Venkatesh and Soundarya, remains one of the most loved family entertainers in Tollywood. The film, directed by EVV Satyanarayana, captivated audiences with its engaging storyline and timeless comedy. It still enjoys regular reruns on television, especially because of Venkatesh’s impeccable comic timing and charm.
While Soundarya played the main female lead, the second heroine, who played the role of the Nepali girl Manisha—Venkatesh’s second wife in the film—also garnered immense attention. That actress was Vinitha. Her graceful presence and acting won the hearts of many, and she became popular almost overnight with just this one role.
Vinitha had a promising start and went on to act in over 70 films across Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. However, her budding career took an unfortunate turn in 2003 when she was arrested by the police on suspicion of being involved in a prostitution case. Though she was later cleared of all charges and released in 2004, the damage to her reputation was irreversible.
Vinitha accused the authorities of falsely implicating her and claimed that the incident ruined her film career. The mental distress following her arrest led her to step away from the limelight. After a long break, she briefly returned to play a key role in the Tamil film Enga Rasi Nalla Rasi (2008). However, she did not take up any further projects and has since maintained a low profile.
Vinitha has been away from the film industry and social media for years, but a recent photograph of her has gone viral, sparking nostalgia among fans who remember her impactful but brief stint in Tollywood.
