Yes, that’s true, you heard it right. The lovebirds who have been dating since 2013, got married on Monday, 11th December 2017 at a luxury villa in Tuscany, Italy. Both of them took to Twitter to confirm their marriage both gave a joint statement, thanking all their fans and well-wishers.
After so many weeks of speculations, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have tied the knot in Florence, Milan on Monday. They were seen leaving the country last week itself with their families for the auspicious ceremony and finally announced their love for each other through Social media platform Twitter.

The Couple’s official Spokesperson confirmed the news stating, that they are very happy to announce that Ms. Anushka Sharma and Mr. Virat Kohli got married at a private ceremony in Italy, today. The wedding was attended by all close family members and a few close friends since the couple wished their wedding to be a very private affair. According to the Hindu rituals, the wedding was conducted amidst of the elder’s blessings. Top fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has designed the wedding collective for both the groom and the bride.

The couple plans for a big celebration with all friends and colleagues in Mumbai and are planning to invite them once they are back to India. They made a joint statement, already through Twitter. Their spokesperson thanked all the media for their support and understanding in making the couples special occasion a memorable one.
It is reportedly, known that tight security around the venue has been arranged in an attempt to avoid the paparazzi from invading their privacy. Even people and sections of involved in the wedding proceedings, like the photographers, caterers, and hotel staff were asked to sign an NDA- Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Celebrity Guests Presence:
There were rumors doing rounds that Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh were the only two cricketers invited to the wedding, to travel for the marriage. But Virat’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma is also expected to be attending the function. On the other side, Anushka too had invited Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma.
The future course of events:
Couple plan to host a grand reception in New Delhi for their relatives on 21st December, followed by a reception for industry friends and cricketers in Mumbai on 26th December.
The newlywed couple will travel to South Africa where Virat will start working on his upcoming series, while Anushka will spend some time with him till New Year’s Eve and return to India to resume her shooting scheduled of Anand L Rai’s film with SRK in Mumbai in the first week of January. Post this, she also has plans to start preparing for her movie ‘Sui Dhaaaga’ whose shooting is scheduled in the month of February. In this movie, she is acting opposite Varun Dhawan. Apart from these two movies, she has to be present in marketing and promotions of ‘Pari’ which is set to release on 9th February. On the other hand, Virat Kohli will be busy with his 2-month long tour in South Africa, which include, three test matches, six one day internationals, and three Twenty20 international matches.

The newlywed couple has made all the arrangements to shift to their new residence in Worli, Mumbai in December once they return to India, post their wedding.
