Vishnu Manchu Wanted to Remake Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham in Telugu — But Missed the Chance
Aavesham, one of the most iconic films in Fahadh Faasil’s career, showcased the actor in a completely new avatar that won hearts across the country. His performance was widely praised as irreplaceable, which is why the film continues to trend even months after its release. Surprisingly, the film was never dubbed into Telugu or released on Telugu OTT platforms.
During a promotional interview for his upcoming film Kannappa, actor Vishnu Manchu revealed his admiration for Aavesham. He admitted being deeply impressed by Fahadh’s performance and even tried to acquire the Telugu remake rights. However, to his disappointment, someone else had already secured them.
Sources indicate that Vishnu had considered casting his father, Mohan Babu, in the lead for the remake. On the other hand, fans on social media are now speculating that Nandamuri Balakrishna could bring the character to life with his unique style.
With remake rights already taken, the buzz around who owns them and how the Telugu version will shape up continues to grow.
