Megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly anticipated fantasy action drama Vishwambhara has been facing delays for quite some time, and the latest reports suggest that the film may not arrive in theatres this year after all.

The project was initially expected to release much earlier, but the makers reportedly decided to extend the post-production work following the response to the teaser. The visual effects and CGI reportedly required additional attention, prompting the team to spend more time on the film’s technical aspects.

For a while, Dussehra 2026 was being discussed as a possible release window. However, the latest buzz indicates that the makers may have now pushed the film to Summer 2027.

Interestingly, even on Chiranjeevi’s birthday, the team limited the update to a new poster and an OST, without providing any clarity on the theatrical release date. This has further fueled speculation about another delay.

The extensive CGI work is reportedly one of the major reasons behind the postponement. Since Vishwambhara is heavily dependent on visual effects and fantasy elements, the makers appear keen to ensure that the final output meets the expected standards rather than rushing the release.

Another factor working in favour of a Summer 2027 release is Chiranjeevi’s other upcoming project, Kaaka, which is reportedly targeting the Sankranthi 2027 season. Avoiding a clash between the two films could allow both projects to get better release windows.

However, the repeated delays have understandably left fans concerned. With expectations already high around Chiranjeevi’s fantasy entertainer, a prolonged wait could test audience patience.
