Telangana Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy had a bitter experience as students threw water bottles at a time. ‘Reddy Gharjana Sabha’ took place at the Arts College in Hanmakonda. Political leaders, educationalists and other eminent personalities, from the Reddy community, attended the meeting. During his interaction with the large students gathering, Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy spoke on various aspects.
The mishap took place after the minister said that, the demands of the students are ‘unsolvable’. ‘The students came up with a couple of demands. Instead of reacting in a diplomatic and sensible manner, the Home Minister choose to be his usual self. As soon as he made the statements, that the demands made by students are insolvable, water bottles were hurried at him’, said a student who was also present at the gathering.
Soon, the police took over and sealed the Naini. The Home Minister abruptly ended the speech and left the premises amid high security. Post that, the students further raged, and pelted stones and water bottles on the stage. The security forces took a while to get the whole scene under control. The police are yet to make arrests.
