WhatsApp Introduces New Feature for Managing Multiple Accounts:
WhatsApp has introduced an exciting new feature in its Android beta app, allowing users to manage multiple accounts on a single smartphone.
This multi-account feature is gradually rolling out in version 18.104.22.168 of the beta app and is exclusively available to users who have enrolled in the beta program through the Google Play Store, as reported by WABetaInfo.
With this innovative feature, Android users can easily add an extra account within their WhatsApp application through the app settings. Similar to Instagram’s functionality, users can operate multiple accounts concurrently and switch between them with a simple double-tap. Previously, WhatsApp limited usage to only one account per smartphone.
Additionally, users will have the convenience of receiving separate notifications for each of the two accounts. Initially, users may only be able to add one additional account to their app, but there is potential for WhatsApp to expand this limit in future app updates. A screenshot shared in the report suggests that the feature will allow access to at least two accounts simultaneously. This feature is currently available to select beta testers and is expected to roll out to other Android users soon.
Alongside the multi-account feature, the report also mentions the introduction of a redesigned user interface for beta testers. This redesign includes an improved profile tab within the chat list, offering users easy access to the app settings.
Additionally, WhatsApp is rolling out the Instant Video Messages feature to users on both Android and iOS platforms. To enable this feature, users can navigate to the settings and activate the toggle for video messages, which allows users to switch between using voice and video messages easily.
