Who will claim the 2,000 Crore Business, 800 acres land lying in waste?
After the arrest of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, ‘Dera Sacha Sauda’ in Sirsa, Haryana was brought to stand still. The estimated market value of Gurmeet’s empire is expected to be around Rs. 2100 crores. The ‘Dera Sacha Sauda’ is spread across 800 acres.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim was found guilty on the charge of raping two female devotees. Nearly 45 people were killed in the riots that followed after the judgment of the CBI court.
Manufacturing plants of Aloe Vera products, car batteries, water bottles, wheat flour, oil-seed expellers and confectionaries belonging to Dera Sacha Sauda were shut down. Various offices, resort, shopping mall, restaurant, and the hotel were also closed. No one was seen on the streets inside Dera Sauda.
But the Dera’s old base was seen alive. Reportedly, 4000 people gathered to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dera’s Founder, Shehanshah Shah Masatana Balochistani Ji Maharaj. MasatanaBalochistani was from Balochistan (Pakistan) who migrated to Sirsa, Haryana. He established the ‘Dera Sacha Sauda’ in 1948 that preached ‘Naam Shabad (method of meditation) to thousands of people over a period of 12 years. He built 25 ashrams in Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan.
