Yash has finally addressed the widespread speculation surrounding the massive reported budget of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. The film has been generating enormous buzz for its scale and ambitious production, with reports claiming that the project has been mounted on a budget of around ₹4,000 crore.
During his appearance on the television show Aap Ki Adalat, Yash clarified that the figure being widely discussed online is being misunderstood. According to the actor, the reported ₹4,000 crore does not represent the production cost of a single film.
Yash revealed that the amount refers to the combined budget of both parts of Ramayana. He further explained that the overall figure also takes into account several other major expenses associated with the project, including international distribution and extensive promotional campaigns planned for global markets, particularly Hollywood.
The actor is closely associated with the ambitious project beyond his on-screen role. Yash plays the powerful character of Raavan and is also serving as a co-producer, giving him a deeper involvement in the making and global presentation of the epic.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. With its enormous scale, high-profile cast, international distribution plans, and cutting-edge visual effects, the mythological epic is being positioned as one of the biggest cinematic projects in Indian cinema.
Yash’s clarification is now expected to put an end to at least some of the confusion surrounding the much-discussed ₹4,000 crore figure
