Yash’s much-awaited big-budget entertainer Toxic is finally gearing up for its theatrical release on August 26. After facing multiple postponements, the film is set to arrive in theatres later this month, with the buzz surrounding the project considerably higher than before.
The film has now completed its censor formalities and received an “A” certificate. Considering the intense promos and adult-oriented content showcased so far, the certification was largely expected. However, the censor details have revealed another surprising aspect of the film.
Toxic has received an approved runtime of 194 minutes, or 3 hours and 14 minutes. With such a lengthy runtime for a gangster action drama, the film will need to maintain a gripping narrative and engaging screenplay throughout to keep audiences invested.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic features an impressive ensemble cast, including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles. Yash has also co-written the film, which is produced by Venkat Narayana under the KVN Productions banner.
Toxic is set to arrive in theatres simultaneously in multiple languages, making it one of the major pan-Indian releases to watch out for.
