New Linking Rules Are Implemented By YouTube To Reduce Spam
YouTube has unveiled fresh policies designed to combat spam and fraudulent activities within its platform. Starting from August 31, 2023, hyperlinks featured in comments and descriptions of YouTube Shorts will gradually lose their clickable functionality. The intention behind this alteration is to significantly reduce instances of spam and deceptive practices.
The company plans to introduce a novel method through which content creators can share important links on their channel pages. Creators will be able to initiate the setup of these new profile links from August 10, and viewers will begin seeing them on August 23.
Furthermore, They intend to roll out content links for short videos in late September. These links will enable creators to establish connections between their Short videos and other Shorts content. This approach encourages collaborative promotion among creators and assists viewers in discovering related content.
The underlying objective appears to be the reinforcement of the YouTube Shorts ecosystem, fostering greater interconnectedness and coherence.
