Jagan doesn’t trust ‘Sakshi’

Posted [relativedate] at [relativetime time_format=”H:i”]

‘Sakshi’ newspaper and TV news channel have played a critical role in popularizing YSRCP and YS Jagan and defaming TDP and Chandrababu Naidu. ‘Sakshi’ is indeed considered as a foster child to YS Jagan. During the 2009 elections, all the media houses predicted the victory of TDP-alliance in the combined Andhra Pradesh. But Sakshi was the only media house that predicted Congress (during the time of YS Rajasekhar Reddy) party would win the 2009 AP Assembly elections.

Going by the track record of Sakshi and its team of reporters, YS Jagan blindly followed their advice during the 2014 elections. Shockingly, YSRCP failed to come close to the TDP. Apparently, the public also lost trust in ‘Sakshi’ newspaper and accused it of nepotism towards YS Jagan.

Jagan also felt that it is better to distance himself completely from Sakshi and rather move towards a neutral media house. The costs of running the Sakshi media house have greatly increased in the past few years. No details have been available about the new neutral media house that is likely to be set up by YS Jagan very shortly. One the new media house comes into the picture, Sakshi would be slowly losing its importance.
