In the upcoming May 13 elections, Andhra Pradesh PCC chief YS Sharmila faces off against her cousin, YSR Congress Party MP Y S Avinash Reddy in the Kadapa Lok Sabha segment. Former Union Ministers MM Pallam Raju and JD Seelam are also set to contest from Kakinada and Bapatla respectively.
The Congress party’s list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections includes Gidugu Rudra Raju for Rajahmundry and PG Rampullaiah Yadav for Kurnool. Sharmila unveiled the candidates’ list after paying respects at her father’s grave in Idupulapaya. The alliance of CPI, Congress, and CPI (M) will contest together in Andhra Pradesh, with elections scheduled for May 13 and vote counting on June 4.
