‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’, is what our teachers, parents and our elders might have taught us while we were little kids. The same is true in every day’s life. But not everyone whom we think as friends, are really our friends. Similarly, though we perceive someone as an enemy, then end up becoming friends.

Same is the situation of TDP and YSRCP in the case of BJP. TDP went into an alliance with BJP, just before the 2014 AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, YSRCP went alone into the elections. As expected, results came in favor of TDP – BJP alliance, and many thought their ‘friendship’ will be a boon to the state. Things exactly turned out to be opposite. A situation has come where TDP has declared BJP as its enemy.

Soon, things on YSRCP side turned the other way. YSRCP leaders and YS Jagan never publicly expressed their animosity towards BJP or Modi. But they took a dig at the Centre indirectly at times. With TDP moving away from BJP, YSRCP is closely inching toward the saffron party. Likewise, all of a sudden, the CBI started giving a clean chit to YS Jagan and his companies in many cases.Political analysts feel that, if YSRCP strikes a deal with BJP, YS Jagan will be free from his cases. Only time will tell, YS Jagan can be saved, given his proximity to BJP.
