Rahul Gandhi finally responded to the ‘Non-Hindu’ controversy that took place at the Somnath Temple. The Congress Vice President stated that everyone in his family is devotees of Lord Shiva. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have been the subject of various attacks by the BJP leaders regarding their religion.

BJP has condemned the visits of Rahul Gandhi to various Hindu temples during his campaigning for Gujarat elections. The BJP leaders stated that Rahul Gandhi in a non-Hindu believer and shouldn’t be allowed to enter the Hindu temples in Gujarat. The issue further intensified with reports surfacing that Rahul Gandhi signed in the ‘Non-Hindu’ register while visiting the Somnath temple.rahul gandhi in somnath temple

Reacting to the allegations and comments made by the BJP, Rahul Gandhi stated that it is all a part of ‘conspiracy’ by the BJP leaders. ‘Yes, I did sing in the Tourist register at the Somnath Temple. The BJP party members are the one who entered my name in the non-Hindu register,’ said Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul is trying to establish the fact that everyone in his family, including him, are ardent devotes of Lord Shiva. But one shouldn’t forget the facts that Jawaharlal Nehru is a ‘Parsi’.
