Over 1.2 million devotees visit to Durga temple During Dasara festival

From October 15 to October 23, the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada hosted the Dasara Sarannavaratri celebrations. The Durga temple brought in an additional Rs 8.73 crore in Hundi revenue, for a total of Rs 14.71 crore. Over 12 lakh devotees, including Bhavainis, flocked to the shrine for the Dasara celebrations.

The executive officer, K.S. Rama Rao, and chairman of the Sri Kanaka Durga Devi Trust Board, Karnati Rambabu, said that the celebrations were a great success because of the public’s support and cooperation with all departments.

They said that from October 15 to October 26, 12,02,678 devotees came to the temple to get the deity Sri Kanaka Durga’s darshan.

Approximately 3 lakh Bhavanis attended the temple between October 24 and October 26 following the conclusion of the celebrations on October 23, according to reports. They stated that 3.62 lakh Bhavanis flocked to the shrine throughout these three days.
