An official said on Saturday that a 40-year-old father had been arrested for reportedly repeatedly raping his 14-year-old minor daughter in East Delhi.
Maqsood from Bihar has been named as the defendant. Maqsood, a drug addict, resides in East Delhi with his family in a rented home. At 10:01 p.m. on Friday, Mayur Vihar police station allegedly got a PCR call reporting the rape of a kid.
The youngster said in counseling that her father had repeatedly sexually assaulted her while her mother was away. She said that the accused again sexually assaulted her daughter without her mother’s notice on Friday about 3 o’clock. The survivor told her mother about the incident when the lady came back, according to a senior police official.
The girl’s statement was then recorded in front of her mother, and a case was filed in accordance with IPC Sections 376(2)(n) and 506, as well as Section 6 of the POCSO Act. According to the source, Maqsood had been arrested following a victim’s medical examination at East Delhi’s LBS Hospital.
