Military Pakistani airstrikes have struck civilian homes in Afghanistan’s Paktika and Khost provinces, resulting in tragic loss of life and property destruction, according to Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid.
The strikes, purportedly targeting Abdullah Shah, claimed six lives in Paktika and two in Khost, including women and children. Despite the alleged target being in Pakistan, the attacks violated Afghan territory, sparking condemnation from the Taliban-led Afghan government.
Reaffirming Afghanistan’s sovereignty, the Taliban condemned Pakistan’s actions and urged its leadership to halt aggressive policies detrimental to bilateral relations. The Taliban emphasized that Pakistan should address its internal issues without blaming Afghanistan, warning of potential consequences from escalating tensions.
