A doctor in Karnataka is sexually abusing a staff nurse.
A doctor in Karnataka’s Koppal district has been charged with sexual harassment following a complaint by a staff nurse at the Hiresindogi Primary Health Centre. She reported the incident to the Alavandi police station, stating that the accused doctor had been demanding sexual favors from her and subjecting her to harassment.
According to the nurse’s complaint, the doctor not only harassed her mentally and physically but also intensified his harassment after she confided in her husband about the situation. Furthermore, the doctor allegedly withheld her salary for two months, and when her husband questioned him about it, the doctor retaliated by filing a police complaint against him, resulting in the husband’s arrest.
The police have taken action in response to the complaint and have registered a case against the doctor under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
