Actress Adah Sharma, who gained attention for her remarkable performance in The Kerala Story, has been cast in the upcoming film The Game of Girgit. The movie is being produced by Gandhar Films and Studio, with Shreyas Talpade also starring in the lead role.
Loosely inspired by the infamous ‘Blue Whale Game,’ which had a massive following among the youth but also resulted in numerous dangerous incidents and deaths caused by the game’s challenge, the film explores this dark aspect of the internet culture.
Adah Sharma as police character:
Directed by Vishal Pandya, The Game of Girgit will feature Adah Sharma in an unconventional role as a police officer, inspired by true events related to the infamous “Blue Whale Game”.
Regarding her latest film, The Kerala Story, the movie is still running successfully in cinemas, even though it has been banned in some states, and has now entered its fifth day of release.
The plot of the film, directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, revolves around a group of women from Kerala who convert to Islam and join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The film also features Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani in significant roles.
Released on May 5, 2023, the film has surpassed 56.86 crores at the box office, making it the fifth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023 so far.
