Nara Lokesh’s reaction to his father’s arrest
Lokesh curtailed his yatra and headed towards Vijayawada to visit Chandrababu Naidu, who was in police custody. However, law enforcement officers halted Lokesh and obstructed his movement. During this encounter, Lokesh engaged in a heated argument with the police, asserting his right as a family member to visit his father. He staged a protest by sitting on the road in response to Chandrababu’s arrest.
Lokesh raised questions about why Chandrababu Naidu was arrested when his name was not initially mentioned in the FIR. He characterized this as the “Rajareddy Constitution.” Lokesh also drew a parallel between CM Jagan’s visit to London and Naidu’s arrest, quipping, “He goes to London, and the good one goes to jail.” Lokesh further questioned why the Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (AP CID) had not made any arrests in the case of CM’s Babayi, YS Vivekananda Reddy’s, brutal murder.
