Akhil faced a setback with the movie ‘Agent,’ which didn’t perform well at the box office or on OTT platforms. This disappointment has led to a delay in the start of his next project, tentatively titled “Akhil 6,” produced by UV Creations. The filming is now expected to begin in February or March of the upcoming year.
The team is taking precautions and investing time in refining the script and finalizing details for this pan-India film, slated to be Akhil’s most expensive project so far. Nagarjuna, amidst his commitments to Bigg Boss 7, plans to hear the narration in January before the script is locked.
Anil Kumar, an associate at UV Creations, is set to make his directorial debut with this film. There are reports that SS Rajamouli will present and supervise Akhil’s project.
Although it may seem like the team is taking a considerable amount of time to start the project, sources suggest that the delay is intentional. The team is being meticulous to ensure Akhil delivers a big blockbuster this time. A formal confirmation on the film is expected to be announced soon.
