Allagadda police arrested 3 online fraudsters

Three suspects in a cybercrime were taken into custody by the Allagadda police on Wednesday. They also found two gold coins, three cell phones, Rs. 2.71 lakh in cash, and an extra Rs. 18,998 stashed in a bank account.

The accused have been identified as G. Mayab Hussain from Tenkayalachenu street in the same town; A. Sreeram from Bank Colony; and V. Balaji from Nehru Nagar in Jammalamadugu town of Kadapa district.

N. Pedda Fakruddin, a native of Bachepalle village in Allagadda mandal, Nandyal district, was the target of fraudulent operations carried out by the three accused, according to Allagadda DSP Venkata Ramaiah.

They used cyber technology to get access to the complainant’s bank account by hacking. After they had the account holder’s password, they took monies out of the account using UPI ID. Subsequent research has shown that these three had previously used comparable strategies to defraud a total of 17 people.

On Wednesday, the suspects were taken into custody by the Allagadda police near Proddutur Road in Chagalamarri town, Nandyal.
