Amaravati: CM Jagan Mohan Reddy sensational move to provide 70 % of jobs to locals backfired Andhra now.
The motive of the move is to provide job opportunities to unemployed youth. However, the decision is impacting in another way.
Kannada actor Upendra started following the footsteps of Jagan and called the Kannadiga youth for a strike. He is demanding the govt to assign 75% of jobs to Kannadiga youth.
He announced the move and sought the help of youth. Upendra is going to do a hunger strike on 14 and 15th of this month.
He called a strike to find a solution for the movement of jobs for locals. Karnataka CM Yediyurappa also tweeted supporting him.
Many of Telugu professionals will be affected once the Karnataka govt implements the quota. There is a number of Telugu people working in the IT industry.
Upendra is including IT industry in his demand. Moreover, a lot of people from Jagan’s native Kadapa district are working in Bangalore in different industries.
