Ambati Rayudu withdraws from the inaugural season of Major League Cricket.
Ambati Rayudu, the former Indian cricketer, has withdrawn from the inaugural season of Major League Cricket (MLC) citing personal reasons, according to his team, Texas Super Kings. Ambati Rayudu, who recently retired from cricket after winning the 2023 Indian Premier League with the Chennai Super Kings, was all set to become the first Indian international player to join the Texas Super Kings in the MLC.
The team made the announcement on Twitter, stating that Rayudu would not be able to participate in the first season of the MLC due to personal reasons but will continue to support the team from India. The Texas Super Kings, owned by the same owners as the Chennai Super Kings franchise, will kick off their MLC 2023 campaign against the Los Angeles Knight Riders in Texas.
