Ameerpet Metro Station becomes ‘India’s Largest Metro Station’

16 escalators, 8 Lifts, Air Conditioned lounges, Shopping outlets, Granite-Floor Terminal, Entertainment circuits! ‘Hmm… It should an airport terminal. This would be the first thing that pops up in our mind when we hear about all these things. Surprisingly, all of these are a part of Metro station. And guess what, the metro station is none other than ‘Ameerpet Metro Station.’
Ameerpet is often known as the ‘computer hub’ in Andhra Pradesh. It is famous for its computer institutes everywhere in Ameerpet and especially near the Maitrivanam Junction. From now onwards, Ameerpet would also be famous for its metro station. The Ameerpet Metro station holds the major interchange station as a part of the new metro.
The new metro station is designed to accommodate 6,000 passengers at any given moment. Ameerpet Metro station is an interchange for the 30 Km Miyapur-Ameerpet-Nagole stretches. The metro station has 2 Levels;
Upper-level Route: Miyapur to LB Nagar (via Bharat Nagar, Ameerpet, MGBS)
Lower-level Route: Shilparamam to Nagole (via Madhapur, Ameerpet, Secunderabad)
If a commuter traveling from Miyapur wishes to go Secunderabad, he/she needs to get down in Ameerpet Metro Station, proceed to the lower level, and take the metro heading towards Nagole. The station is designed to be eco-friendly in nature. The length and width of the Ameerpet Metro Station are 142 meters and 40 meters respectively.
