Apple iCloud App for Windows: New Features and Improvements

Apple has introduced a revamped iCloud app for Windows, targeting both Windows 10 and 11 users. The updated app boasts a fresh onboarding process, improved syncing status indicators, and convenient shortcuts to access iCloud content directly from a PC.

Among the key enhancements, users can now enjoy better photo syncing performance with Microsoft Photos, along with support for physical security keys for secure Apple ID sign-ins. Additionally, the app aims to reduce the frequency of sign-in prompts while offering a smoother overall experience.

According to Apple, the iCloud for Windows app enables seamless access to photos, files, passwords, and other essential information stored across Apple devices directly from a Windows PC.

Furthermore, Apple has announced a significant update to its iTunes for Windows, splitting it into four separate apps. Notably, standalone experiences for Apple Music and Apple TV are now available, with features like lossless playback, time-synced lyrics, and 4K Music Videos.

The new Apple TV app for Windows offers access to original Apple TV+ content, as well as users’ library and purchased or rented video content. Additionally, 4K playback and Subscription channels are now supported on Windows, including access to MLS Season Pass.
