Andhra Pradesh CID Files Charge Sheet Against Chandrababu Naidu and TDP Leaders in Amaravati Scam

The Andhra Pradesh CID has taken a significant step by filing a charge sheet against TDP President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and several others in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road and Master Plan case.

Key Accusations:

  1. The accused sought financial gains from the project.
  2. Charged under various sections including IPC and the Prevention of Corruption Act.
  3. Allegations of designing the project to benefit specific entities connected to Naidu’s family and former minister P. Narayana’s family.
  4. The accused falsely claimed a government-to-government MoU between Singapore and AP governments.
  5. No required approval from the Centre for such an MoU.
  6. Allegations of appointing foreign Master Planner on a nomination basis and paying hefty fees.
  7. Inner Ring Road is designed to pass adjacent to lands owned by the accused and their associates.
  8. Allegations of rapid appreciation in land value benefiting accused entities.
  9. Accusations of gifting rent-free accommodation to Naidu’s family by Lingamanenis as a quid pro quo.

This move by the CID marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the Amaravati project.
