Apple may introduce AirPods with a USB-C port.
Apple is said to be preparing to introduce an updated version of AirPods along with a USB-C charging case during its iPhone 15 event in September. It remains uncertain whether the AirPods Pro will also come with a USB-C charging case, as per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
In 2022, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had predicted that Apple would release AirPods with a USB-C charging case in the current year. Beyond the new case, it’s unclear if they has made any substantial alterations to the AirPods themselves, according to reports from The Verge.
Earlier this year, Ming-Chi Kuo also suggested that they might launch its fourth-generation AirPods sometime in the second half of 2024 or the first half of 2025. This would be in addition to a rumored $99 pair of AirPods and a second-generation AirPods Max.
Their upcoming global product launch event, which will showcase the new iPhone 15 series and potentially these updated AirPods, is scheduled for September 12.
