Vinesh Phogat won India’s second gold medal in the Asian Games 2018 and made history by becoming the first-ever woman from India to win a gold in wrestling. Earlier, Lakshay won silver in Men’s Trap while Deepak Kumar also clinched silver in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event to take India’s medal tally to four at the Asian Games 2018. On Day 1, Bajrang Punia won India’s first gold medal on day one while shooters Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar won the bronze medal in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event at the 2018 Asian Games.
