The 2017 Gujarat Assembly Elections proved that 2019 Lok Sabha Elections wouldn’t be a cakewalk for BJP and Modi-Amit Shah duo. The results shed light on the deteriorating relations between BJP and its allies. This has pushed BJP Core Committee into a dilemma about their aggressive approach in national politics.

Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, BJP leader Somu Veerraju made outrageous claims after BJP won the Gujarat elections. He challenged AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and TDP party to contest in the upcoming 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.

Addressing the media, Somu Veerraju recently said, ‘I challenged CM Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP party to cut-off the alliance with us [BJP Party], and contest in the upcoming state elections all alone. They would be defeated for sure. BJP will win the majority in the AP Assembly elections and will form the government in Andhra Pradesh in 2010.’

These comments became sensational in the state media. TDP leaders were shocked to see such kind of comments from its ally [BJP].The recent news is that Somu Veerraju has been warned by Amit Shah after the former’s comments were carried to the Centre by other BJP leaders. Post the warning from the Centre, Somu Veerraju once again shocked everyone.

‘TDP is our ally. We [TDP and BJP] will be only successful if we work together. I did not even utter a word against TDP or Chandrababu. The media misquoted me. We will ensure that Centre will complete Polavaram Project by 2019,’ said Somu Veerraju addressing the press in Eluru, on Tuesday.
