BJP, RSS Taking Name of Gandhi is Victory for Congress, Says Rajasthan CM Gehlot

Date:

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday stated it was an achievement for the Congress Party that the BJP and the RSS had to take the name of Mahatma Gandhi years after leaving to recognize him.

Speaking in a special gathering of the state Congress committee on the eve of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Gehlot said the country and the world could not maintain without his teaching and the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh should “excuse for their blunder”.

“their leaders had to respect the name of Gandhi. This is a success of our plans, programs and expectations,” he said, continuing that the outfits should receive their stance on the issue.

“I would like to know those characters that mere speaking of him will not work. You should explain what you have in your heart and mind.” Gehlot stated.

He told if the BJP and the RSS had understood their mistake, then they should tell that they could not acknowledge Gandhi as they operated as “canaries for the British”.

Admiring the Congress for “maintaining” the democracy in the nation for 70 years, the CM said an environment of violence had been built in the country since 2014.

The democracy was in crisis and there was an environment of terror in the entire country, he said.
