The ‘Vote-for-note’ political scandal that took place in 2005 has sent tremors in both AP and Telangana political circles. The whole incident came to light after the ACB caught TDP MLA Revanth Reddy red-handedly offering Rs 50 Lakhs to nominated MLA Stephenson, to vote for TDP Candidate in Telangana Legislative Council elections in 2015.

The political scandal was the hot topic in both the Telugu states at that time. Many thought that Chandrababu Naidu would escape, given the fact that Revanth Reddy was arrested. The latest happenings don’t seem so.

Telangana CM KCR has called for a review meeting with the Telangana DGP, AK Khan (Retired IPS Officer), ACP DG, lawyers and other officials over the Vote-for-note case. It is understood that the review meeting went for over 2 hours in the Pragathi Bhavan.

‘CM KCR enquired about the case details. He also asked about the evidence collected at the time of the incident, and the forensic lab report on the voice calls. We are really not sure how things would turn’, said a close source to the TRS party. It will be interesting to see what would KCR’s next move, given the fact that elections are just around the corner.
