Civil Court Issued Notices To Director Ram Gopal Varma

Ram Gopal Varma is busy debating on various TV news channels, woman organizations, and other social activists on the row over his film ‘God, Sex, and Truth’. The film starring Mia Malkova is all set to release on January 26th, 2018. Though Ram Gopal Varma did not pledge everyone to watch the film, many are criticizing the maverick director’s responsibility towards society. In fact, it is the TV Channels that gave excessive publicity to the film.
Amidst all this drama, the Hyderabad Civil court served notices to Ram Gopal Varma. Jayakumar who previously worked in the creative department under Ram Gopal Varma filed a case against the director. In his petition, Jayakumar accused Ram Gopal Varma of plagiarizing his script.
‘The script and title ‘God, Sex and Truth’ was mine. I sent it Ram Gopal Varma for review. After seeing the trailer of ‘God, Sex, and Truth’, I realized that it was a blind copy of my script. RGV used it even seeking my permission. Every word uttered by Mia Malkova is from my script’, said Jayakumar in a recent interview to a news channel.According to the serves notices to Ram Gopal Varma, the director has to appear in person on February 27th, 2018.
