Telugu Comedian Gundu Hanumantha Rao breathed his last today early morning at around 3:30 am. After spending some good time with his relatives in his home, in SR Nagar, the actor suffered a fatal cardiac arrest. Though he has been rushed to the Saint Theresa Hospital in Erragadda, the doctors declared ‘brought dead’. The actor is survived by only his son. His wife and daughter passed away a few years back.

Gundu Hanumantha Rao has been suffering from a kidney ailment for a long time. He is forced to undergo dialysis every alternate day, affecting him not only financially, but also morally and psychologically. His needs completely taken care of his son.

The actor is known for his comic roles in Telugu movies. Born on October 10th, 1956, he acted in more than 400 movies. He made his debut with the movie ‘Ahana Pellanta’ after he was spotted by Jandhyala during a drama act. He is well noted for his role in Rajendrudu Gajendrudu, Yamaleela, Babai Hotel, Subhalagnam, and many more. His role as ‘Anji’ in Amrutham (serial) fetched him Nandi Award too. Furthermore, Chiranjeevi, TS Govt., and many others extended financial support to the actor.
