The positive cases of the novel coronavirus are increasing rapidly in Andhra Pradesh as the state reported 67 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours which takes the toll of the cases to 1,717.
The health bulletin released by the state Health Department confirmed the same. The good news is that no fatalities were reported in the state in the past 24 hours.
The active cases in the state stood at 1,094, while 589 patients have managed to recover from the virus and got discharged from the hospitals accordingly. To date 34 succumbed to the fatal virus in the state.
Out of the newly reported cases, 24 cases were reported from Kurnool district and Guntur reported 13 cases and Anantapur and Kadapa witnessed two each case. On the other hand, Krishna district reported 8 cases and Nellore and Vishaka witnessed one case each.
14 members who returned from other states tested positive for the virus. Kurnool, Guntur, Krishna, and Nellore are the worst-hit districts in the state which have the most number of cases. Vizianagaram continues to be the district with zero positive cases.
