Delhi Murder Accused Has No Regret, Bought the Knife 15 days prior to the incident
According to sources from the Delhi Police, during the interrogation of Sahil, the perpetrator of the murder of his 16-year-old girlfriend in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area, it was revealed that he had planned the killing several days prior. Sahil had purchased the knife used in the crime 15 days prior to the incident. To avoid detection through CCTV footage, he turned off his phone and fled to Rithala and then to Bulandshahr, where his aunt resides, by changing buses. The motive behind the killing is still unknown.
The victim, Sakshi, had expressed her desire to end the relationship, and she had been ignoring Sahil for some time. The police are investigating a possible love triangle, as Sakshi had started talking to another person named Praveen, whom she knew before meeting Sahil. Sahil was unhappy with Sakshi resuming her conversations with Praveen.
Sahil works as a Fridge-AC repairing mechanic, stabbed Sakshi more than 20 times, and also hit her with a boulder. A video of the incident circulated on social media, showing he is wearing a blue t-shirt and stabbing the girl while bystanders watched. A man tried to intervene but was pushed away by Sahil. After stabbing Sakshi, Sahil kicked her multiple times and struck her with a boulder. He briefly left the scene but returned to attack her again before finally leaving.
The victim’s father filed a complaint, and Sahil has been charged with murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. The police are also examining Sahil’s social media accounts and searching for the weapon he discarded in Rithala.
