A few months ago, reports from Bollywood media suggested that Tamil star Dhanush was in talks to headline an ambitious mythological jungle drama backed by acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The project is reportedly being planned with Sardar fame director P. S. Mithran at the helm.

During the promotions of Sardar 2, P. S. Mithran was asked about the reports surrounding his collaboration with Dhanush and Bhansali. The filmmaker confirmed that discussions are indeed underway, although the project is yet to be officially finalized.

“Talks are going on for that film. Once finalized, we will officially announce it,” Mithran revealed.

His statement lends credibility to the earlier reports and suggests that Dhanush could soon add another Hindi project to his growing lineup. The actor has already been expanding his presence across industries, making this reported collaboration an interesting one to watch.

Interestingly, the earlier reports also claimed that the project was initially offered to Mega Power Star Ram Charan. However, the actor is said to have declined the opportunity for reasons that have not been disclosed.

For now, the Dhanush-led project remains in the discussion stage, and an official announcement is expected once the team finalizes the cast and other key details. If the collaboration materializes, the combination of Dhanush, P. S. Mithran, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali could certainly make this one of the more intriguing cross-industry projects to watch out for.
