Amid the ongoing theatre controversy in the Telugu states, Dil Raju’s comments on Pawan Kalyan have sparked interest as he clears the air about his alleged involvement. Reports earlier claimed that top producers advised exhibitors to shut down theatres over a proposed change in the revenue-sharing model. This led to speculation that the move was aimed at affecting Pawan Kalyan’s film Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
However, Dil Raju, in a press meet, firmly denied these allegations. “Many are dragging my name into this unnecessarily. Honestly, no one can stop Pawan Kalyan Garu’s film,” he said. Raju emphasized that closing theatres is not a practice in the industry. “In my 30-year journey, I’ve never seen cinema halls shut. We may stop shootings for issues, but not theatres,” he added.
He also mentioned that the media misrepresented the situation and confirmed he had discussed the matter with Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Durgesh Garu. Raju assured that multiple releases are planned for June and July, signaling that business will go on as usual.
