Djokovic Secures 24th Grand Slam Singles Title with US Open Victory”:
Novak Djokovic clinched his 24th career Grand Slam singles title with a victory at the U.S. Open, extending his record for the most Grand Slam titles won by a male tennis player.
In the final match at Flushing Meadows on Sunday, Novak defeated Daniil Medvedev with a score of 6-3, 7-6 (5), 6-3.
It’s worth noting that all of Djokovic’s Grand Slam victories have been achieved during the Open era, which commenced in 1968 when professional players were allowed to compete in the sport’s four most prestigious tournaments. Margaret Court, a tennis legend, also has 24 major singles titles to her name, with 13 achieved in the amateur era and 11 during the Open era.
Here is a list of individuals, both women and men, who have secured the highest number of Grand Slam singles titles, encompassing both the amateur and Open eras.
