Fahadh Faasil’s latest Telugu film, Don’t Trouble the Trouble, has made its digital debut on Netflix just four weeks after its theatrical release. The film hit cinemas on October 2 but failed to attract audiences, resulting in a disappointing box-office performance.
Now streaming in multiple languages, the fantasy comedy drama is looking to reach a wider audience through its OTT release. It remains to be seen whether viewers on Netflix will give the film a better reception than theatrical audiences.
Don’t Trouble the Trouble marks the directorial debut of Shashank Yeleti, with Fahadh Faasil playing the lead role. Ssara Palekar, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Mahesh Manjrekar appear in important roles.
Interestingly, the film received strong promotional support from several prominent Telugu celebrities ahead of its theatrical release. SS Rajamouli presented the project and actively promoted it, while Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, and Nani also publicly appreciated the film and extended their support to the team.
Despite this celebrity backing and promotional attention, the film failed to make an impact at the box office.
Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni, and SS Karthikeya produced the film, while Kaala Bhairava composed the music.
With its arrival on Netflix, Don’t Trouble the Trouble gets another opportunity to connect with audiences. Whether the OTT release changes the film’s fortunes remains to be seen.
