During the filming of her role, Faria Abdullah descended 500 feet into actual mines
Actress Faria Abdullah, who is eagerly anticipating the release of her upcoming streaming series ‘The Jengaburu Curse’, has revealed that the production team ventured 500 feet underground into mines to film certain scenes for the show. During these shoots, they had to don helmets and boots for safety.
The filming process also resulted in a reduction in oxygen levels within the mines. Reflecting on her experience during the shoot, Faria Abdullah, who plays the role of Priyambada Das in the series, shared that the team opted for real locations, including places like the airport and market scenes.
She mentioned, “The team was dedicated to preserving the authenticity of these locations. I recall shooting in a bustling market, where the crew constantly directed people to avoid looking at the camera and focus elsewhere. The most exhilarating yet nerve-wracking aspect of filming was capturing scenes in actual mines.”
“We ventured 500 feet beneath the surface for certain scenes. Equipped with helmets and boots, as we went deeper, the oxygen levels gradually declined. It was a daunting experience, but the feeling was truly surreal.”
