Fee Reimbursement Telangana: CM Revanth Reddy Promises Same-Year Payments

Fee Reimbursement Telangana received a major boost after Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that students will no longer have to wait for years to receive fee reimbursement benefits.

Speaking in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said the state government is taking steps to ensure that fee reimbursement for every academic year is paid within the same academic year, reducing delays that have affected students in the past.

Government Plans Advance Fund Allocation

According to Revanth Reddy, the Telangana government estimates that around ₹2,200 crore is required every year for fee reimbursement.

He said the government plans to set aside the required funds in advance so that payments can be released on time without causing inconvenience to students or educational institutions.

The Chief Minister stated that the objective is to make the reimbursement process more predictable and efficient.

Comments on Fee Reimbursement Arrears

While speaking about pending dues, Revanth Reddy alleged that fee reimbursement arrears worth around ₹8,000 crore had accumulated during the previous BRS government.

He also criticized BJP leaders K. Ramachandra Rao and R. Krishnaiah, stating that they should speak about Telangana’s fee reimbursement policy only after 100% fee reimbursement is implemented in Andhra Pradesh.

These remarks reflect the Chief Minister’s political criticism and were made during his address.

HYDRAA Will Continue, Says CM

Apart from student welfare, Revanth Reddy reiterated the government’s commitment to HYDRAA, describing it as one of the state’s key reforms.

He said there would be no compromise against encroachments on government lands, including parks and lakes, and appealed to the public not to support illegal encroachments.

The Chief Minister added that the government would study the court’s observations before taking any further decisions related to HYDRAA.

Student Welfare and Examination Security

Revanth Reddy also assured students that the government would take measures to prevent question paper leaks and strengthen the examination system.

He further stated that necessary legal measures would be pursued to ensure students’ academic future is protected.

Government’s Assurance

The Telangana government says its goal is to make the Fee Reimbursement Telangana scheme more transparent and timely by ensuring payments are made within the same academic year.
