Liquor bottle to be named after women?
While the Indian women are busy protesting against the sale of liquor/alcohol, one BJP minister has a different say. He proposed a ‘new plan’ to increase the sale of alcohol to one of his follower. Going into the details, BJP Minister Girish Mahajan is being cooked in the hands of the netizens on Facebook and Twitter.
The reported BJP minister drew unwanted attention, thanks to his remarks on ‘how to improve alcohol sales?’ The minister has attended as a chief guest to preside over a function hosted by a businessman who runs a sugar factory. The reported businessman sells liquor on a brand name called ‘Maharaja’.
While addressing the function, Girish Mahajan advised the liquor businessman rather an interesting solution to improve his sales. On record, the MP goes on to say, ‘these days many products are achieving greater sales after being re-branded with female names. I advise you to follow the same. Do re-brand your liquor as ‘Maharani’ instead of ‘Maharaja’, and you will witness a growth in your sales.’
The MP has gone under severe criticism post his remarks on re-branding liquor with female names. The remarks made by the MP clearly show his responsibility towards the citizens of this nation and the society. It’s really unfortunate that the citizens of this nation are being represented by this kind of politicians. Even though the excise sales are responsible for a state government’s income, it has to be noted that no politician supports liquor or alcohol consumption.
