The popular Golmaal franchise is returning with its fifth instalment, and the makers have now officially locked its theatrical release date. Headlined by Ajay Devgn and directed by Rohit Shetty, Golmaal 5 is set to arrive in cinemas on January 8, 2027.
The release date was announced through a new motion poster unveiled by Rohit Shetty, confirming that the comedy entertainer will be the first major Bollywood release of 2027. The film was previously rumoured to target a December 2026 release, but the latest announcement puts those speculations to rest.
Adding to the excitement, Akshay Kumar is reportedly playing the antagonist in the fifth chapter, bringing another major star into the Golmaal universe. The combination of Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar is expected to be one of the film’s key attractions.
The ensemble cast includes Priyamani, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Sharman Joshi, Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari and Ashwini Kalsekar.
With the franchise returning with another star-studded cast and Rohit Shetty at the helm, Golmaal 5 is already among the most anticipated Hindi films scheduled for early 2027.
